Hi, I’m Martin 👋
I’m 43 from Ireland. After 10 years working in IT in a job I genuinely loved, I was recently made redundant. It was a role that allowed me to travel and see parts of the world I never thought I would experience.
My early travels took me to places like India, Iceland, and Ukraine, and it was during this time that I decided to start sharing my journey through a YouTube channel called Grand Walking Tours.

Travel & Adventures
Since starting the channel, I’ve been lucky enough to experience some incredible adventures. From street karting through Tokyo, to riding the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam, and island hopping from Coron to El Nido in the Philippines.
I’ve also explored Komodo Island and many other remote destinations that have completely changed how I see travel.
What’s Next
What I want now is simple — not to return to an office, but to make the world my office. Creating memories for myself while helping others discover their own paths.
I want to share honest advice — what to do, what not to do — and remind people to appreciate the small things. Whether that’s enjoying a drink on a tropical beach or walking down an unknown street not knowing what’s around the corner.
